Return Policy

  • General merchandise may be returned for a full  refund if returned within fifteen days. A  sales receipt must  accompany the merchandise.  Merchandise must be in the same condition it left the store. Sale merchandise is nonrefundable.​

  •  Arrangements and trees must be returned within 48 hours and must come back in the  condition they left the store. There will be a 20% restocking fee for  these items if returned.

  • Credit card sales will be credited at  the time of return.  If paid for by check a check will be mailed in the  refunded amount within five days.  Cash sales under $20 will be repaid  in cash.  If over $20 a check will be mailed out within five days.

Layaway Policy

Merchandise may be placed on layaway for 90 days.  An initial deposit of 35% is  required at the time of the layaway.  The second payment of 30% is  required within 60 days. The last payment of the remaining balance is  required within 90 days or at the time of pickup.  Layaway items must be fully paid for and picked up within 90 days or there will be a fee of  $10 for each week it is stored.  If the customer chooses not to continue payments and rejects the merchandise there will be a restocking fee of: 20% after 30 days, 35% after 60 days and no refund after 90 days.​

Hold Policy

Merchandise may be held for 24 hours only.

Special Orders Policy

A 50% deposit is required for all special orders and is nonrefundable  unless we are unable to procure the item.  There may be added costs such as rush fees, extra shipping and miscellaneous handling fees on single  ordered items.  We will call you when we receive the item and you will  have 60 days to pick it up; after which time the deposit is forfeited  and we will donate the item to charity.  Each item is unique and  reasonable deviations are to be expected.  Dye lots, craftsmanship, wood grains and natural contributions are what make up the character of  each item.  Deposits constitute a sale and all sales are final.

We may use the information we collect to periodically notify you about new services or special offers we think you will find valuable. Any personal information you provide is strictly used for internal purposes, such as confirming and tracking your order, subscription or registration, analyzing trends and statistics, informing you of our new products, services and offers, etc. House of Design Online Store has always prided itself on its protection of its customers' personal information and has never violated that trust. To serve you better, we may combine information you give us online, in our store or through our mailings. We use that combined information to enhance and personalize your shopping experience with us, and to communicate with you by mail about our products and events that may be of interest to you.
