Textiles add Pop and Sizzle to any Decor
- Add textiles in a similar color throughout a room for unity. Choosing three locations, somewhat equidistant from each other will help keep the balance and create a connection between objects.
- Place a napkin or placemat under an accessory(s) to add a bit of color and unify the decor.
- Change the mood of a room by adding color and texture with fabric.
- Artfully ‘toss’ a throw or table topper on furniture to add texture, color, and soften the edges. Leather particularly can appear cold or hard. The simple addition of a softer fabric will add warmth.
- Use a runner or strips of fabric on shelves and entertainment centers to soften the corners and edges, fill space, and unify the display.
- Creative use of textiles can transition patterns or textures on sofas and chairs.
- Wind a soft fabric through a floral design or garland for added texture and unity
- Place a pillow behind a group of accessories to create a background.
- Hang a beautiful runner vertically on the wall.
- Use a fabulous piece of fabric to determine the style, colors, and textures for the dÈcor of a room.
- Choose a complementary (opposite) color for contrast - an analogous color for a wider range of color, yet subtle, more formal effect.
